Aloe Blacc may have caught the attention of many with his 2010 hit "I Need a Dollar," but he’s now a household name thanks to his freeing vocals on DJ Avicii’s hit track "Wake Me Up."
This new star power has landed his vocals front row in several Beats by Dre commercials, and to add icing on the cake, he recently inked a brand partnership deal with luxury automotive company Lincoln Motor. Through the partnership, Lincoln will help create an interactive music video while introducing the MKZ sedan.
Now, Blacc plans to use his rise to his benefit by working with other artists, and he has one in mind…Christina Aguilera.
“If I could work with Christina Aguilera that would be fantastic because I really respect her voice and her singing skill,” Blacc revealed to On Air with Ryan Seacrest. “So if I could write a song with her and bring it to the marketplace and see what people think, it'd be great.”
Blacc is readying his first full-length album, Lift Your Spirit, on Interscope, which you can pre-order on iTunes.
