Jennifer Lopez teams with Roc Nation producer DJ Mustard for the new joint "Girls." Co-written by Asia Bryant, the track makes an attempt to be a female anthem for girls who want to have fun.
Lopez, who is plotting a new album, is looking to dive back into her urban roots, and we guess “Girls” is a test run (emphasis on guess). On the tune, the music superstar sounds vocally poor, and it seems like this type of sound should be omitted from her music trial.
After I heard the record, all I can think about are those DirecTV commercials.
Going back to urban…get a beat from a hot producer…sing with no conviction…put out a lackadaisical record…end up sounding like Cassie. Don’t end up sounding like Cassie…do what you do!
We expect better for J.Lo! Let’s hope her upcoming single “Same Girl” is a smash.
