Jennifer Hudson will be performing on high seas thanks to a just announced deal with Carnival Cruise Lines.
At a press conference Wednesday, Hudson performed "One Night Only" and talked about her headlining gig that is sort of full circle, following her stint (before American Idol) on the Disney Cruise Line.
Calling her past stint "my test," Hudson said performing for Carnival "is like a full circle."
Hudson is one of at least ten acts that have been tapped for "Carnival Live." She will perform June 18 on the Carnival Ecstasy and June 19 on Carnival Breeze, both in Cozumel, Mexico.
Daughtry, Lady Antebellum, LeAnn Rimes, Martina McBride, Trace Adkins, Gavin DeGraw and more are also set to perform on select cruise ships on select dates.
A total of 49 shows are set for this year alone. The first show will take place April 7 on the Carnival Fantasy ship in Nassau, Bahamas.
