August Alsina had a great debut year in 2013: with his single “I Luv This Shit” hitting the No. 1spot and being selected as the only R&B artist for MTV’s Fab 5, a list usually reserved for hip-hop artists.
To cap off his great debut year, Alsina drops the visual for the personal, reflective, Eric Hudson-produced “Don’t Forget About Me," a cut form his debut EP, Downtown: Life Under the Gun. Directed by Payne Lindsey, August reflects on where he comes from; never forgetting his New Orleans roots and family while thinking about on how far he’s come. Cameos include Chris Brown, Trey Songz, Young Jeezy and other stars as a part of his journey as a new artist blowing up in the industry.
