Alicia Keys paid a special tribute to the late Nelson Mandela during one of her latest “Girl on Fire” tour stop in Australia.
“We wanted to do something special for you in honor of the great Nelson Mandela, who I feel so moved by in every way," Keys told concertgoers. "What an incredible life lived and what an inspiration for us to all carry forward.”
Keys kicked out the tribute with an acoustic version of Bob Marley's “Redemption Song.” Half way through the song, her touring supporter, John Legend entered the stage and assisted her in finishing the rendition.
Nelson Mandela, the South African anti-apartheid icon, died last Thursday at the age of 95.
