While Ashanti’s upcoming fifth studio album, Braveheart, continues to ride the delayed train, the Grammy-winning R&B singer-songwriter is thinking about releasing a holiday project.
“I'm thinking about releasing a NEW Xmas album,” Ashanti wrote on Twitter.
As far as her forthcoming album, Ashanti and her label have been trying to drum up buzz before unleashing it to the public. The single “Never Should Have” leads the set.
In related news, Ashanti will appear in Lifetime’s upcoming “Christmas in the City” film, premiering December 7 at 8 pm ET/PT on the Lifetime Network. She will play Teanna, a store consultant. In addition, she has recorded a rendition of the classic Christmas song “Let It Snow” for the movie.
