Nov. 11 is the day Mariah Carey will tell us the about the secret to “The Art of Letting Go” via her single from her upcoming album of the same name. The diva sat down with CNN’s Nischelle Turner to dish on the song’s concept, as well as updated on the progress of her injured shoulder from fall she took while filming a music video this past summer.
About the song itself, Mimi says, “There’s an emotion to it, as you listen to the song from start to finish, that you can tell that it’s me…this about letting go of something that’s not right for you, but you just don’t know how to make that final move and let go of it, like, it’s not easy. It’s something you have to learn how to do.”
No longer in a sling, Mariah’s hand is still wrapped from the spill on the video set, but says she’s about 95 percent healed. "I fell off something very high, and I dislocated my shoulder, fractured my shoulder, (and) fractured the rib area," Carey said. "It just requires a lot of physical therapy, but I'm like 90 to 95 percent there."
The song will be released via her Facebook page. Check out Mariah’s sit down with CNN below:
