Tionne 'T-Boz' Watkins and Rozanda 'Chilli' Thomas hope viewers walked away with a better understanding of who they are and why certain things happened during their career after watching "CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story" on VH1 Monday night.
"I always wanted to tell our story, from the very beginning," Thomas shared with the Los Angeles Times. "I felt like it was going to be a movie. I think people will now understand [us]. [People] remember certain headlines like the fire and the bankruptcy, or whatever. Now they are gonna know why all that stuff happened."
Happy with the result, a biopic that captured their initial rise, record label related struggles and inner group issues, both say it was important to share their story from the very beginning.
"Timing is everything. Before Lisa passed, it didn’t come together and I think that was for a reason. It wouldn’t have been the time to do it," said Watkins.
