Fox Searchlight's "Baggage Claim" debuted within the top four at this weekend's box office.
Based on the book written by David E. Talbert, "Baggage Claim" arrived at no.4 with $9.7 million in receipts. Broken down, that includes Friday earnings of $3.2 million and a Saturday total of $3.9 million.
Starring Paula Patton, Taye Diggs, Boris Kodjoe, Jill Scott, Trey Songz and more, "Baggage Claim" follows a flight attendant that has just 30 days and 30,000 miles to find the man of her dreams that will ultimately put a ring on it.
Official box office totals will be revealed in the coming days.
In related news, "The Butler" continues to do very well at the box office weeks after its initial release. Receipts from Friday and Saturday show an additional $2.5 million was made, adding to an over $100 million total.
