Lady Gaga came for the applause and she got it on the Billboard Dance/Club Play Songs chart this week.
Soaring to no.1 Monday, "Applause" is Gaga's thirteenth single to top the Dance/Club Play Songs chart, tying with the late Whitney Houston's sum of 13 no.1 hits on the chart.
According to Billboard, there are only eight other acts that have more no.1 singles on the dance/club play chart.
"(They are) Madonna (43), Rihanna (20), Janet Jackson (19), Beyonce (18), Mariah Carey and Kristine W (16 apiece) and Jennifer Lopez and Donna Summer (14 each)," reports Billboard.
"Applause" leads Lady Gaga's new album, titled "ArtPOP," which is due for release later this year.
