Britney Spears is ready to not only strike Las Vegas with an anticipated concert residency, but a new album by year's end.
Spears broke the news during an interview on "Good Morning America" Tuesday, confirming that her first Vegas show will commence on December 27 at Las Vegas' Planet Hollywood.
"I love Vegas. The energy here is really, really good. We wanted the environment to be [mixed] that way so people could come and have a good time and stand up and feel like they’re in the show with me," Spears tells Good Morning America in a clip below.
The show, titled "Britney, Piece of Me," will include performances of songs from her lengthy discography with a mix of new material here and there.
Tickets for the shows are quite reasonable as well, starting at $59.00 and they are on sale now. The show, "Britney, Piece of Me," will run in Las Vegas for a total of two years. She will perform at least 50 shows a year.
In related news, Britney Spears will return to music on December 3 with the release of a brand new album and though it's untitled, Spears says it will be an in depth album inspired by events in her life.
"During this album I had a break-up with [fiancé] Jason [Trawick] that I wrote a lot about," Spears said.
