Sunday's presentation of the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) was a major success for MTV.
With anticipated performances from Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Robin Thicke, along with a major performance from Justin Timberlake, who was joined by N'Sync, and received the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, this year's show drew a strong 10.1 million viewers.
Considering last year's show (2012), which drew just 6.1 million viewers, this is a considerable jump. The most watched presentation of the VMAs was the 2011 show, which was seen by over 12.4 million and featured Beyonce confirming that she was pregnant during a performance of "Love On Top."
