It’s a known fact that in order to be in one of Tyler Perry’s productions, the ability to both act and sing is crucial. Demetria McKinney is well known for her acting creds (“House of Payne,” “The Ricky Smiley Show,” and the upcoming films “Let The Church Say Amen,” and “In The Meantime”), but now she’s showing off her musical chops.
The Musiq Soulchild-assisted duet “Still Believe in Love” is from her film “In the Meantime” starring Mckinney, Darrin Henson, David & Tamela Mann, Kali Hawk and Terri J. Vaughn set to air on Sept. 7 at 9PM ET on the UP network. The song tells the story of having faith in love during hardships.
“Musiq Soulchild is a musical genius. From his knowledge of music, to the energy he brought in the studio, we knew the song would be magical. I’m blessed and honored to have worked with him on this project. As I continue my recording career, I hope to have more collaborations with musicians who I admire like Musiq,” she said in a release.
