With an estimated $24 million-plus expected gross, the anticipated movie raked in $8.3 million Friday night alone, racing ahead of other anticipated flicks like "Kick-Ass 2" and "Paranoia."

Well reviewed, Lee Daniels' The Butler tells the true story of Eugene Allen, played by Forest Whitatker, who served as a butler in the White House through eight presidential administrations.
