Justin Timberlake and Jay Z opened the first of many sold-out shows with a performance dedicated to slain teen Trayvon Martin.
Performing at Yankee Stadium in New York Friday night, the "Suit & Tie" duo performed a rendition of "Forever Young."
"This is for Trayvon so light up your cell phones New York," Jay Z told the crowd.
"One more time for Trayvon New York!" Justin Timberlake added.
As widely reported, Justin Timberlake and Jay Z will be touring throughout the rest of the summer in support of recently released efforts "The 20/20 Experience" and "Magna Carta Holy Grail."
In related news, Alicia Keys and Timbaland were special guests during the opening show in New York Friday, joining Jay Z and Justin Timberlake for songs like "Empire State of Mind" and "SexyBack."
