Ciara is poised to have a strong chart debut when her new album, "Ciara," arrives on the Billboard 200 and other associated album charts next week.
According to projections released Wednesday, Ciara's album is expected to debut not only in the top 5, but at no.2.
With songs like "Body Party" and "I'm Out" included, "Ciara" is expected to bow with 50,000 to 60,000 copies sold.
In comparison, Ciara's last album, "Basic Instinct," debuted with 37,000 copies sold in 2010 and arrived at no.44. To date that album has sold 116,000 copies.
In related news, Ciara's "Body Party" single jumped 34 to 25 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week. "I'm Out," featuring Nicki Minaj, debuted at no. 50.
