With his fun single “Blurred Lines” ft. T.I. and Pharrell selling over 840k copies in the last two weeks, Robin Thicke is already feeling the heat of success this summer! Today, his label, Interscope Records, dropped snippets from his sixth studio album, Blurred Lines, due out July 30 (everywhere else July 15).
Out of the LP’s 10 tracks, a vast majority are up-tempo and optimistic, partly because the crooner wanted to do something a tad different than what he's known for. “This is the least personal album I’ve ever made by far,” he told Hot 97. “I really always tried to be a serious, brooding artist and dig deep and talk about my pain and insecurities, and this time I didn’t want there to be any of that negativity. There’s still some depth on it, but it’s much more fun.”
