BET AWARDS 13: Tamar Braxton Wins Night’s First Award

New mother Tamar Braxton was the nights first winner at the 2013 BET Awards. The "Love and War" singer beat out Miguel (Adorn), Fantasia (Lost to Win), Nas (Daughters), and Charlie Wilson (My Love is All I Have) for the Centric Award crown.

"It feels amazing, I had no idea honestly," says Tamar as she thanked her family and team.

"Love and War" has been winning for Tamar and has been a big hit on the Urban AC National Airplay chart. The record leads her forthcoming Streamline/Epic album, which is due in the Fall. The follow up single, titled "The One," is also available.

Congrats to Mrs. Tamar Braxton!
