In part two of introducing Atlantic Records newcomer Netta Brielle, the budding songstress kicks off her grassroots promo at her "very first" photo shoot as she shares more intimate details about how her career started, her Tom Boy style, and more.
"I got my start in the music business actually being inspired by artists in the Bay area. People like MC Hammer, En Vogue, Tony! Toni! Toné!, just watching them," recalls Netta.
Born and raised in the Bay Area, Netta knew music was her calling at an early age, because her mother and older sister exposed her to performing arts and local music shows. "I knew that this is what I was gonna do, I knew I was going to be some kind of musician, I was gonna be on stage entertaining people," she adds.
Now with her sights set on stardom, Netta wants to put her city back on the map as an R&B threat. "A lot of artist hasn't come out of the Bay Area since the Tony! Toni! Toné! era, and so I kind of want to be a part of this new generation that brings attention back to the Bay Area, because we have a lot of talent there."
