In preparation for the release of his forthcoming album, IV Play, The-Dream opens up to VEVO News about the pending project and what his mindset was like during the creative process.
"'V Play does a lot of changes that are different from the first three 'Love' LPs that I released," says The-Dream in the below video. "IV Play is me jumping into the future and trying to leave the past behind. It's never been because I couldn't really jump ahead of the game; sometimes people don't like to change things, so sometimes you have to wait for something to completely break until you can get a new one again and get somebody to enjoy it."
He adds: This album probably maintains about twenty five percent of the fabric musically, but the rest of it, I've really opened it up.
IV Play is due in stores May 28th.
