Fresh off "Dancing With The Stars," Emeli Sande is ready to start writing for her second studio album, a follow up to the chart-topping and best selling debut "Our Version of Events."
Breaking the news earlier this week, during a chat with Essence, Sande also took time to praise Fantasia, who she worked with in recent months ("Side Effects of You").
"I am a massive fan of her voice and the way she interpreted the song ("Side Effects of You") was really special. And it's even cooler that it's the title track of the album," Sande said of the "Lose To Win" and "Without Me" singer.
While she's not quite ready to confirm what fans should or shouldn't expect on her own album, Emeli Sande looks forward to simply creating and evolving.
"I want to start writing for the second album and producing new material in general. I want to spread the word about my music, but my favorite part is creating and evolving as an artist," she shared with Essence.
As previously reported, Sande's "Our Version of Events" earned a BRIT Award earlier this year. The album has also been a hit sales-wise, moving well over 1 million copies.
