Fantasia might be an "American Idol" winner, but she believes some reality singing competitions have lost their way by paying less attention to the talent. Praising "The Voice" this week, Fantasia believes that it's time to get back to focusing on the contestants.
"I love ‘Idol,’ but I just think that [with] ‘The Voice,’ it’s not about age, it’s not about your looks, it’s just strictly about your talent,” Fantasia said during an appearance on Access Hollywood Live. “And we need to get back to that. We lost that. And that’s what I love about it.”
On a personal note, Fantasia also spoke about her family, saying they mean more to her than the drama and negativity that has surrounded her in recent years.
"I don’t want to do that anymore. I have two beautiful kids, who when I wake up in the morning I’m like, that’s all I need,” she shared.
