Fantasia continues to push through a strong and admirable promotional tour, leaving no question unanswered in the weeks leading up to the release of her new album, "Side Effects of You."
Answering a few tough questions in a recent interview with FOX South Carolina, Fantasia said she wouldn't change anything, including mistakes that she might have made, because they made her the woman she is today.
"People ask me sometimes, 'would you change anything that you've done?' and I say no. I probably wouldn't do the same things again, but I wouldn't change anything because it made me the woman that I am today and it's a part of my testimony," Fantasia shared.
Pointing to her album, looking at it as a therapeutic release, Fantasia says everything that she went through and felt is covered in this album.
"It's been 10 years for me and it's been 10 years with a lot of ups and a lot of downs. There's been a lot of things said out there, but this is coming from my mouth. You don't have to hear it from anyone else. It's coming from me and it's on that CD," said Fantasia. "Everything that I thought. Everything that I felt. I wrote it."
All of that said, Fantasia believes that everyone, no matter who you are and what your calling might be, should fight for what they want.
"Never let anyone stand in the way of your destiny. Always fight for what you want and stand for it," said Fantasia.
"Side Effects of You" is due for release April 23.
