It has been only two years since Jill Scott released her first number one Billboard album, ‘The Light of the Sun.’ Since dropping the album, she has toured the United States twice and worked on two film projects. Now she is back in the music studio, focusing on her fifth album; Scott has been recording three to four days a week.
The Grammy Award artist is creating eight to nine songs a session as she amasses material for the upcoming project. The creative circle helping her craft the album is Motown’s BJ the Chicago Kid, producer 9th Wonder and Ne-Yo.
Only in the early stages of the creative process, Scott is defining the records' direction. “I don’t even know what is going to happen. I am just being really obedient to it,” she told HipHollywood.
