Rihanna flew across the globe last fall on her 777 Tour to promote her seventh and latest album “Unapologetic” by flying to seven cities in seven days. The trek was highly-publicized, but little did we know that it was being documented, too.
The Hollywood reporter announced “Rihanna 777" will air in May and show the challenges that a hectic tour schedule like that can bring. Ri Ri flew to and performed in Mexico City, Toronto, Stockholm, Paris, Berlin, London and New York along with 150 journalists and a select group of fans all in one week on one plane, so one can only imagine the shenanigans that ensued during the travels.
"It was different having to do your job but also have 200 guests come along with you," she told England's Radio 1 about the experience. "They all want you to host a party every time you get on the plane after a show but you really only have that time to sleep until you get to the next country … Sometimes it was a two-hour ride to the next country and that was all the sleep you would get."
By being in such close quarters for seven days straight, naturally, tensions flared and the crazies came out. At one point during a delayed flight while the plane stood stranded on the tarmac, a journalist streaked down the isle of the plane which made headlines and a video on Youtube.
“Rihanna 777" will air May 6 at 8PM on Fox.
