This year would have marked legend Marvin Gaye's 74th birthday on April 2nd, and to celebrate the occasion, smooth singer Barsheem Fowler will perform the Marvin Gaye/Tammi Terrell classic “If This World Were Mine" at "Life & Legacy: The Official Marvin Gaye Day Celebration" hosted by Restaurant Marvin in the legend’s birthplace Washington D.C. on April 2. The remake is from his upcoming What Is To Be Major due out soon.
Marvin Gaye acts as one of Fowler’s obvious musical inspirations; from the dapper looks and threads, and the socially conscious songs mixed with a little of the romantic, Barsheem inherits Gaye's musical legacy and carries it well. Barsheem has been working with Gaye's family,
