Jay-Z and Beyonce's private information, including vital identification records, has allegedly been leaked via a website that is now being investigated by federal officials.
According to a new report, the FBI is looking into how the owners of the site were able to obtain information like social security numbers, financial records, credit reports and more on not just celebrities, but government officials and even Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin.
Titling the records "secret files," the website owners have also launched a Twitter page that alerts interested parties that new information has been posted.
"A website — we're not disclosing the name — has posted social security numbers, mortgage amounts, credit card info, car loans, banking and other info of major celebs. In addition to Beyonce and Jay-Z … the site has snagged financial dossiers of Mel Gibson, Ashton Kutcher, Joe Biden, Robert Mueller, Hillary Clinton, Eric Holder and LAPD Chief Charlie Beck," TMZ reports.
In addition to Jay Z and Beyonce, Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton are among those that have been targeted.
It is unclear what the hackers are looking to do with this information long term, but sources say there has been activity on some of the exposed accounts…
