Bruno Mars is shutting things down worldwide.
Not only has his current LP Unorthodox Jukebox hit the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 charts (making it his first U.S #1 album), but the Grammy-winner is celebrating the LP going platinum in the U.S., the U.K., Australia, New Zealand, France, Canada and Ireland.
And that’s not all, folks. The latest single from the set, “When I Was Your Man,” is at #3 on Billboards 100 and boasts a million downloads, making it 100 million singles sold worldwide. That follows his first single “Locked Out Of Heaven,” which held the No. 1 spot for six weeks straight.
All this worldwide success couldn’t have come at a better time, as he’s setting up shop to travel the world on an arena tour, “The Moonshine Jungle Tour.” Los Angeles’ Staples Center and Denver’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre sold out both nights, and New York, London, Paris, Dublin and Madrid’s venues were sold out within minutes of going on sale last week. Due to the demand, 25 more dates have been added including Toronto and London, and will go on sale beginning March 8th.
