Remember Nicole Wray? The singer of 90s hit single “Make It Hot,” she has formed a duo with English singer/songwriter Terri Walker under the name Lady. At one time, both Wray and Walker were signed to either Damon Dash's Dame Dash Music Group or BluRoc. They formed a working relationship through contributing to different projects at BluRoc.
If you had a craving for SOUL music, the new duo, American and English collaboration, will satisfy your hunger; their tunes boast feel-good vibes with colorful melodies and motivating lyrics. The lead single “Money” harvest the 60s soul with guidance from new age hip hop and modern R&B. Tracks on the set include topics about growing up and never giving up, love and friendship, yearning and losing, bad girls and good hearts. Nicole Wray and Terri Walker's taste for soul classics and hip hop, served as their inspiration for the debut album ‘Lady.’
Each artist has been through label set backs and achievements. As a solo artist, Walker has released four albums, the last project she released was the ‘Terri in Wonderland’ mixtape. Wray recorded a platinum album and assisted Missy, Kid Cudi, The Black Keys on records.
Wray and Walker focused their creative synergy on ‘Lady.’ The album is scheduled to hit stores on March 12th, 2013 via Truth & Soul Records.
