It may be an accident, but Beyonce is getting some Bermuda love. A new walkway at the island's National Sports Centre has been named after the R&B superstar following an appearance 5 years ago.
The sign reportedly came about over an internal joke among staffers. Apparently the area was a construction site and needed to be cleared for Beyonce's entrance during the 2008 Music Festival at the stadium. After that everyone started calling it "Beyoncé Boulevard."
“Somebody called it Beyoncé Boulevard and everybody started using it,” Facility Manager Trevor Madeiros told the Royal Gazette.
“It’s nothing really official,” added Mr Madeiros. “It’s an internal thing that we put up ourselves.”
We're going to bet that this will remain permanent!
