Taking the momentum off his Grammy wins, Frank Ocean is packed and ready to go off to Bora Bora to record new music for his next album.
“I’m 10, 11 songs into this next thing,” said Ocean to BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe. “It’s another cohesive thing, bordering a concept record again.”
If you fell in love with the stories told in channel ORANGE be prepared for a continuation of his award-winning material. “At he end of channel ORANGE, there’s ‘Golden Girl’ and it’s this beach scene, and I kind of want to extend that feel into the next record all together, kinda make it that theme.”
For inspiration, the 25-year-old singer is going travel to one of the most beautiful islands in the world – Bora Bora. “I’m gonna take it all to the beach and work for a few weeks,” he said to the UK station. “We’re gonna do that and see how it turns out.
If your curious about potential collaborators for his next project Ocean has an upcoming studio session with Danger Mouse and recently had a studio session with Pharrell.
Ocean also revealed that his is hoping to tour later this year. “I think it’ll be pretty sweet when I do.”
