With President Obama's inauguration in mind, V found a new meaning for Lynyrd Skynyrd's lyrics to "Free Bird." " I wanted to send a visual message to break the chains of negative stereotypes, racism, poverty, war, sexism, self-hatred, etc. that holds us back as a people, as a nation," said V.
V is finalizing her upcoming EP entitled, Visitors Collection, which will include "Free Bird."
