Ne-Yo Takes on Critics: “I Don’t Do Music For White People, Black People”

Ne-Yo was very candid in a recent discussion about his music Tuesday. Sitting down for an interview with Hot 93.7 in Hartford, Ne-Yo said his musical style/taste is not catered to one audience, it’s for any individual or group that enjoys music.

“I am never gonna give anything to you that is crap… I am always gonna give you quality. It will just be quality of whatever genre I feel like. At the end of the day I don’t do music for white people, black people, whatever. I do music for people who enjoy music,” Ne-Yo shared with Hot 93.7.

In related news, Ne-Yo is already looking forward to his next album, a follow up to his recently released fifth studio album, “R.E.D.”

“With this next album, I am just going to go in and do whatever I feel like. Whatever comes out, comes out. The music is who I am,” says Ne-Yo.

As previously reported, Ne-Yo is up for a Grammy this year and is currently touring in support of the single “Let Me Love You (Until You Learn To Love Yourself).”
