by “Wildest Dreams” singer Brandy doubted love prior to meeting her boyfriend, Ryan.
Addressing her past and present in a recent interview, Brandy says she felt haunted by her past but let go of those negative thoughts when she connected with Ryan.
“Sometimes you have doubts that you won’t ever get the experience [of love again]. Those thoughts haunted me for a long time,” says Brandy. “When I met [my current boyfriend] Ryan, it healed me from those negative thoughts.”
Now in a better place with not only a new album (“Two Eleven”), but true love, Brandy believes that she can have an honest relationship with someone.
“I really believe I can have a future with someone again,” she tells Vibe.
In related news, Brandy will be performing during Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin Eve on Dec. 31.
