After a taking a much needed break from the spotlight after the last few years of grinding out album after album, then becoming a mother, it looks like Beyonce is positioned to take the world by storm again.
The singer is readying a concert on New Year’s Eve at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas, confirmed the hotel’s execs, making it her second performance at the luxury venue. The Wynn Hotel is where she taped her ‘I Am…Yours’ DVD in 2009. Reportedly, Bey’s earning $4 million to ring in the New Year in Vegas.
And in related Beyonce-comeback news, the singer has partnered with Pepsi again with a $50 million sponsorship endorsement deal that will include commercials, tours, and Beyonce’s image on limited edition Pepsi cans and life-size cut outs in stores. “Pepsi embraces creativity and understands that artists evolve,” Beyoncé said in a statement. “As a businesswoman, this allows me to work with a lifestyle brand with no compromise and without sacrificing my creativity.”
According to the New York Times, Pepsi is aiming to take on a more hands on approach when it comes to celebrity business involvement. “The goal is to enhance its reputation with consumers by acting as something of an artistic patron instead of simply paying for celebrity endorsements,” states the NY Times.
After her Feb 3rd Superbowl halftime show (which is also sponsored by Pepsi), Beyonce will appear in her fifth television ad for the soda company, all this in conjunction for the release of her next still-untitled studio album.
