Luke James – Make Love to Me

There are a few ways the visual for “Make Love to Me” could have gone, but Luke James took a different route. The R&B music video portrays tasteful sensuality, as it was inspired by the famous Ernie Barnes “Sugar Shack” painting made notable by the 70s sitcom Good Times. There are times, also, where the clip takes on the vibe of Michael Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal,” as James passionately croons from the stage surrounded by dancing couples. “I want people to catch the party feeling; make it a fellowship of spiritual sensuality in the act of dance,” he told about the Frank Gatson Jr.-choreographed clip. Cameos include Kelly Rowland, En Vogue’s Terry Ellis, Stacey Barthe, and actor Omari Hardwick.

“Make Love to Me” will be a part of his 2013 LP Made to Love, and comes after James’ Grammy nod for his single “I Want You.”
