Kelly Rowland has a positive outlook for her upcoming album “Year of the Woman.” Discussing the follow up to “Here I Am,” which was led by the chart-topping hit “Motivation,” Rowland says everything is falling in place.
“This process has been so exciting in a way that it’s really great to know exactly where you want to go,” Rowland told Billboard this week. “It’s great to have writers fall in place, and producers fall in place and some things be so unexpected.”
Led by the fiery single “Ice,” Rowland’s album has attracted producers and songwriters including Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, Detail, Kevin Cossom and Sean Garrett.
Due early 2013, the album will be her second release through Universal-Motown.
