Jhené Aiko Efuru Chilombo aka Jhene Aiko aka Jhene is a singer/songwrtier hailing from L.A. that is more than fresh, sexy and ready to bare her soul. Jhene has helped to pump sultry soul into songs with funky rappers such as Kendrick Lamar and Ab-Soul. She tour down the world renowned SOBs in N.Y.C. last week Friday for CMJ Week. After the show, she talked with Singersroom a little about an exciting project collaboration with a group some true music fans might be familiar with.
“Me and the Cocaine 80’s is made up of musician, singers and producers. I told them I wanted to be a part of the Cocaine 80s. I wanted to be the female voice of the group. They will be featured on ‘Sold Out’. Yes, we are definitely working on a mixtape or album together. That is definitely in the works,” Jhene told Singersroom.
Jhene as the female voice of the Cocaine 80’s sounds almost as orgasmic as Jhene looks in person. Let’s hope it gets put out sooner then later. Also watch out for her new album dropping early 2013 entitled ‘Sold Out.’ Now signed to No I.D.’s label Artium, she seems ready to spread her wings and collaborate with the same mission.
