Miguel has earned his best debut to date thanks to “Kaleidoscope Dream.”
The anticipated sophomore album, led by the single “Adorn,” debuted atop the Billboard R&B/Hip Hop Albums Chart and at no.3 on the Billboard 200 albums chart Thursday.
“Kaleidoscope Dream” starts at No. 3 with 71,000. His debut set, 2010’s “All I Want Is You,” racked 45 weeks on the chart, rising to a peak of No. 37 on the May 24, 2011 tally,” reports Billboard.
In related news, the cast of “R&B Divas” can celebrate the fact that their album debuted within the top 10 on the R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart. Featuring contributions from the cast and fellow R&B singers Fantasia and Kelly Price, the set debuted at no.6.
