Back in July we reported that TGT (Tyrese, Ginuwine, and Tank) inked a group recording contract with Atlantic Records. Now Tyrese, whom has been very vocal about the group and what they plan to bring to the R&B genre, is restoring fans confidence once again.
“Just got off with the chairman of Atlantic Records congratulating us and welcoming us to the label.. #TgTAtlanticRecordz” Tyrese tweeted yesterday. “3 RnB guys. Solo artist our whole careers [and] now we’re in a group… Unreal. It’s no longer just a vision.. it’s REAL!”.
Tyrese has been very outspoken about the project being a rejuvenation for R&B, in context of the mass consensus that the genre is dwindling in quality. “We don’t have no house, no techno… we coming with real R&B” he’s reassured.
The untitled project is set for an early 2013 release.
