Vivian’s hometown of Philadelphia is the setting for the Pat Depa-directed video “Anything Out There,” the debut single from her upcoming fourth studio album ‘The Green Room.’ That would explain why Green comes across as so laid-back and comfortable in the visuals, whether it’s vibing in the studio with her people or looking out over the City of Brotherly Love. On the dating scene, Green can’t seem to connect with any of her love interests, except for her main squeeze whom she sweetly caresses throughout the clip.
“This is my favorite video to date and my first time shooting In Philadelphia,” Green explains. “[The] Director and I worked closely together and used our relationships with friends and peers to make it all come together. I’m excited to see how it’s received but I love it!” Green says her goal for this album was to “”create music that’s fun and sexy and soulful, and songs that are reflective but not morose.”
The Green Room drops Sept. 25. For the project Vivian said, “I wanted to create music that’s fun and sexy and soulful, and songs that are reflective but not morose. That’s where I am in my life, and that’s the kind of music I wanted to make.”
