Bobby Brown Confirms Checking Into Rehab For Alcohol Use

After wife, Alicia Etheridge, confirmed reports that he entered rehab to overcome his battle with alcohol, R&B veteran Bobby Brown has released a statement through his rep to confirm the reports.

As previously reported, in March 2012 Brown was arrested for using his cell phone on a public way without a headset and the suspicion of driving under the influence. In a deal with the state of California, Brown agreed to enter rehab and receive services relating to alcohol use.

“Mr. Brown takes his agreement very seriously and admitted himself three weeks after concluding his honeymoon in Mexico during a break from the New Edition tour” Said Christopher Brown, Esq. of Brown & Rosen LLC. “Bobby is doing well and receiving services that comply with his agreement with the State of California.” Said Christopher Brown, Esq.

“Bobby’s children and loved ones are very proud of him. We appreciate his fans prayers and well wishes. Bobby is mentally in a good place,” adds Bobby’s wife and manager.

In related news, Brown is set to continue his solo concert dates and group dates with New Edition, which includes September 1, 2012 in Orlando, Florida. His latest album, The Masterpiece, is in stores.
