“Two Eleven” singer Brandy is more than willing to take a spot on the “American Idol” judging panel. Following her stint on “Dancing With The Stars,” Brandy says she would be compassionate to ‘Idol’ contestants because she knows what it’s like.
“I would love to join American Idol. You don’t understand, I live and breathe that show,” says Brandy. “I cry every time I see the journey with these people. I would love to be a part of it because I know, as a judge, I’m not going to invalidate another artist.”
Speaking with popular YouTube based “The Skorpion Show” hosts Kevin and Makael, Brandy claims doing a show like “American Idol” would also be an opportunity to give back.
“I know what it’s like,” said Brandy. “I feel like I can give so much to the people on the show. I would love to do that.”
In related news, Brandy is speaking positively about her music. Addressing the long-awaited music video for “Put It Down,” Brandy admits the amount of time it took to get the video done was a little irritating, but she believes everything will happen in “divine timing.”
“As a fan, as a core fan, I know it seems like it’s been a long time but we really just went to radio (with “Put It Down”). It’s now starting to pick up at radio and I’m really excited about it. The video did take a little long, and I was a little irritated by that, but I really believe it’s in divine timing. I believe it’s going to do well and people are loving it.”
Attributing her positive outlook to fans, despite delays and criticism, Brandy admits she hasn’t felt this positive about a project in some time.
“I haven’t felt this way, this type of positivity, in a long time,” Brandy said while confirming her album will be released in October.
