Only about ten percent of the Hollywood Walk of Fame nominees are selected each year. Usher, Jennifer Hudson, Luther Vandross and radio personality Stevie Harvey were in the short list of selected candidates. Each is being rewarded with a star for their contributions in entertainment and history of charitable contributions.
David Green, Chairman of the Walk of Fame selection committee, stated “The Walk of Fame committee is proud to announce next year’s honorees whose additions to the world famous Hollywood Walk of Fame will bring everlasting memories of their star power, talent, and popularity to the millions who visit Hollywood each year and which will shine even more light on the entertainment capital of the world.”
The remaining music recipients that were selected include Backstreet Boys, Jane’s Addiction, Janis Joplin, New Kids On The Block, and Thalia.
