Fantasia is prepping for a busy summer and fall.
Following a stirring appearance on American Idol in May, the “Bittersweet” singer hopes to release a new single and fourth studio album by year’s end.
Already in the studio with producers Chuck Harmony and Jerry Wonder, Fantasia has been writing a lot.
“Of course, the pressure is always on to give the fans more of Fantasia and to allow them to see my growth. This time around, I have more creative input and am writing a lot,” she told Go Memphis in a recent interview. “I think everyone will be quite pleased with where I am going this go-’round.”
Following her Grammy Award winning single “Bittersweet” and reality series “Fantasia For Real,” the American Idol winner is happy to be working on this project, but has a more balanced approach as a mother of two.
“I’ve learned how to balance my time between being a single working mother and an entertainer,” says Fantasia. “My children mean the world to me, and that’s what helps me to make my career my No. 2 priority after being a mother first.”
Fantasia’s third studio album, “Back To Me,” was released in 2010.
