At the 2012 Billboard Music Awards, John Legend and Jordin Sparks paid an emotional tribute to Whitney Houston. Seated at a piano and accompanied by a full orchestra, Legend put his spin on Houston’s hit “The Greatest Love of All,” belting the epic ballad as photos of the late singer appeared above the stage.
The performance effortlessly shifted to Sparks, as she entered the stage and began to sing “I Will Always Love You.” Looking stunning in a black and blue strapless gown, Sparks belted the famous love song as Houston’s daughter Bobbi Christina looked on tearfully.
Afterwards, Whoopi Goldberg invited Houston’s daughter Bobbi Christina and sister-in-law Pat Houston to accept the Billboard Millennium Award on her behalf.
