Aretha Franklin To Be Inducted In Gospel Music Hall of Fame

The Queen of Soul will be honored with an induction into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame this Summer.

Franklin joins five other acts in being recognized for achievement in music.

While Aretha Franklin may be best known for songs like “Respect,” she does have strong roots in Gospel music. “Amazing Grace,” released in 1972, is one of the top selling Gospel albums of all time plus three of her Grammy Awards are from Gospel categories.

The late Rex Humbard, Dallas Holm and Ricky Skaggs are among others that will be honored with Franklin on August 14 in Hendersonville, Tennessee.
