Ne-Yo has the hots for a sexy Latina in the music video for “Burnin’ Up,” the theme song to his latest venture Malibu Red. The Chris Robinson-directed visuals kicks off with Ne-Yo and a beautiful female (Annabelle Acosta) bumping into each other backstage at his concert. She cursed out the R&B crooner in Spanish, but later warms up to him when she sees him performing on stage.
Presented by Malibu Red, “Burnin’ Up” serves as the theme song to their liquor joint venture Malibu Red, hence the red dress and red shoes in the video.
On the song, Ne-Yo explained, “It’s basically talking about how you take the smooth of the rum and the fire of the tequila and bring ’em together to just create a whole ‘nother sexy thing.”
He adds: “We wanted to express that…though this is a Malibu product, it’s not Malibu Rum,” Ne-Yo said. “This is the sexier side of what Malibu does, if I do say so myself.”
