Two of R&B’s biggest stars are gearing up to release new singles. For Usher, it will be the follow-up to his smash hit “Climax,” while for Brandy, it will be the official first single from her forthcoming album ‘Two Eleven’.
According to our friends over at ThisIsRnB, Usher’s next offering will be “Let Me See” featuring Maybach music boss Rick Ross and produced by hitmaker Jim Jonsin. The track, “described as a sexy club thumper, complete with freaky, cheeky lyrics,” will server as the official second single from Usher’s highly-anticipated seventh studio album, ‘Looking For Myself,’ which will be released via RCA Records on June 12. The set will feature production and collaborations from several industry heavyweights including Justin Bieber, Salaam Remi, Rico Love, Jim Jonsin, Pharrell, Max Martin, Diplo and more.
As for Brandy, she is gearing up for the release of “Put It Down,” a track she says, “It’s uptempo. It’s really different. It’s very very different.” The song will feature R&B heartthrob Chris Brown and a rapper.
“I don’t have a specific date,” Brandy told True Exclusives about the release. “It’s definitely going to be in two weeks for sure, a little before [behind the music] or simultaneously.”
She adds: “The thing we are working out now is that the single has a feature. It’s both a rapper and singer. Male. But I can say that I was just at my record company the other day and my partner played the updated version of the single with the feature and they are so excited about it. They want it to go to radio like this Friday.”
She adds about working with Brown, “The session was amazing. To work with people that love you and your craft and what you do, it makes the song even better and the experience even better because you are working with people that you love.”
