Jennifer Hudson has a lot of support going into what has to be one of the most difficult things she has to face, the trial of William Balfour.
Discussing the trial, Hudson’s fiance, wrestler and former reality television star David Otunga, says he will be by her side no matter the outcome.
“You know I’m just here to support her in any way I can. Emotionally… just through everything,” Otunga said Monday. “It will be nice to put this behind us for good.”
As previously reported, Balfour is charged with killing Hudson’s mother, brother and nephew in 2008. His trial begins, in Chicago, next month.
In related news, Otunga says their wedding is still on, putting an end to rumors that he and Hudson had called it off. While the actual ceremony is coming up, Otunga wants to get through a couple things first, including the trial.
“There is a trial we need to get through first, some things we need to sort out but, it’s coming,” Otunga told Wendy Williams on The Wendy Williams Show.
David Otunga and Jennifer Hudson have one child together, a son.
The William Balfour murder trial is slated to begin early next month in Illinois. Both Jennifer Hudson and her sister, Julia, are expected to testify.
